Sanford Health is no longer pursuing a merger with Intermountain Healthcare, a Sanford spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s Hospital Review March 15.
Sanford Health is a health system that operates in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. Intermountain Healthcare is a Utah-based non-profit health system that operates in Utah, Idaho and Nevada.
Their Insurance operations includes around 40,000 Medicare Advantage lives in Utah with Intermountain’s SelectHealth Inc. and around 3,000 Medicare supplement lives for Sanford Health in MN, ND, SD, IA.
