As noted in previous posts, Plan G premiums have increased markedly in the past two years and that trend appears to be speeding up in the 2nd half of 2025. The chart below shows the average Plan G premium rates by year for the five most competitive carriers as of each month. The Plan G average premiums for the five most competitive carriers were flat around $1,400 for 2020 through early 2024 but have increased significantly the past 18 months and now averaged $1,800 as of 9/30/2025.
