Medicare Advantage enrollments as of February 2018 reflected year-end growth higher on a count and percentage basis than the previous year. The table below shows that Medicare Advantage enrollments increased over 1,000,000 from December 2017 to February 2018, 100,000 higher than the year-end 2016 growth and substantially higher than the growth on a count and percentage basis for the previous two years.
Based on these February 2018 enrollment numbers, CSG Actuarial is projecting that Medicare Advantage enrollment as of December 2018 will be 20.4 million (or 21.5 million if other Medicare “capitation” contracts are included).
