UHC Reports Enrollment for 1st Quarter 2026

Medicare Supplement market leader United Healthcare (UHC) released 1st quarter 2026 financials on April 21st, reporting a 15,000 decrease in Medicare Supplement lives in 1st quarter.  The UHC enrollment table below features Standardized and Modernized policy in-force counts of 4,270,000 as of 3/31/2026, which is a 40,000 decrease in the past 12 months and the lowest UHC Medicare Supplement in-force counts since 2016.  UHC continues to hold the largest market share in the Medicare Supplement market by a wide margin.

This UHC enrollment table shows Medicare Advantage enrollment counts of 7,555,000 as of 3/31/2026, a 690,000 decrease in the past 12 months.  The 690,000 enrollment decrease in the past year is an 8.4% decrease over the Medicare Advantage enrollment counts as of 3/31/2025. 

This UHC enrollment table shows Medicare PDP enrollment counts of 2,740,000 as of 3/31/2026, a 95,000 decrease in the past 12 months.  The 95,000 enrollment decrease in the past year is a 3.4% decrease over the Medicare PDP enrollment counts as of 3/31/2025.
